You will develop and deliver a two-hour creative writing workshop for forty six 10-11 year olds as part of our HMS Adventure Event. This workshop must have a sea-faring theme – whether naval or piratical, or otherwise, is up to the workshop leader.
The HMS Adventure is a sleepaway event encouraging independent reading and writing and showing how approaching both activities with a sense of adventure can make them pleasurable. The group will participate in an afternoon of writing before spending the night on board the HMS Belfast. Workshop delivery: Saturday 6th July, 13.00-15.10
This is a one-off, freelance role. We are also advertising for a song writing workshop to take place later on the same day.
You must have experience of delivering creative storytelling, interactive reading or creative writing activities, working with KS2 pupils, ideally year 6 and preferably large groups, and an enhanced DBS check, valid within the last 18 months.
Fee: £450 –to cover workshop creation and delivery. We imagine there will be two workshop leaders on the day to manage the group.
