Cultural Programme Manager

The Cultural Programme Manager will provide artistic direction, playing a lead role in developing and shaping new and challenging opportunities for artists and audiences to come together in an exciting creative programme which will provide a significant step change in the city's cultural ambitions.
Qualification Requirements - The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
A degree or equivalent in an art form, arts management or events management. In this instance, equivalent would be demonstration of progression and success in delivery in these fields.
Job Specific Requirements - The post holder will be required on occasion work outside normal office hours, and travel as, part of the stakeholder engagement and consultation process.
Post Specific Requirements - The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
• Leadership in artistic planning for major events and projects
• An innovative approach to delivering cultural and community engagement programmes
• Highly effective communication skills
• Ability to write reports, evidencing strong writing skills
• Ability to interpret and manage significant financial resources
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft office applications, internet and e-mails
• Able to work pro-actively and with limited supervision where required
• Successful and efficient project management and organisational skills
• A knowledge of relevant local government legislation and best practice, policies and procedures
• The ability to work effectively as part of a small team and to plan and manage that work efficiently
• The ability to provide results whilst working to a tight deadline
