Derbyshire County Council is looking to appoint the next Derbyshire Poet Laureate
The appointment is for two years, running from October 2013 to September 2015, and the brief will include a set of commissions, workshops and events. It is also expected that the poet will use the honorary title to seek further commissions, workshops and appearances during their tenure. The Laureate will be featured at high profile events including DerbyShire 2015 and the Derbyshire Literature Festival. The successful poet will also be given a skills development bursary.
The Derbyshire Poet Laureate needs to be an excellent poet and will need to demonstrate an aptitude for working and performing in a wide variety of community settings.
