The Saltires - Scotland’s National Book Awards recognise exceptional talent across Scotland’s contemporary literary scene. The awards are promoted by The Saltire Society, one of Scotland’s leading supporters of culture.
The role of the Director is to manage and lead the development and delivery of The Saltires: Scotland’s National Book Awards by continuing to build the offer to writers, publishers and readers across Scotland, the UK and further afield. The post advises the Saltire Society Council on the developing shape of the awards, taking the lead on income generation and marketing/PR.
The main priority for the next three years is the development and implementation of a strategic business plan to secure the long-term sustainability of the Saltire Book Awards, in partnership with key stakeholders and funders.
£52,000 per annum (£26,000 pro-rata for 0.5fte)
Part-time – 17.5 hours per week (0.5fte), on a flexible basis.
