Art Fund’s editor and writer will help communicate our work as the national charity for art through our channels, maximising our impact by inspiring more people to see more art, more frequently; offering support and opportunities to museums and galleries; and empowering our 123,000 members.

You will work within an ambitious and dynamic communications team, writing and editing a diverse range of content, from exhibition previews to art news and features across artfund.org (which receives nearly two million visitors a year) and our app, as well as writing e-newsletters for our 170,000 subscribers, and for Art Quarterly magazine, which is sent to all our members. You will also commission other talented writers to create everything from museum profiles to listicles, in addition to acting as an internal resource for copywriting, advertorials and marketing materials alongside our creative agency.

You will act as a developmental editor, strategically guiding the written content of key Art Fund items such as the Art Map, annual report and exhibition guides, as well as leading on the brand tone of voice and style guidelines.

You will be the organisation’s key contact for museums and exhibition material, ensuring the effective management of shared content between print and digital platforms. You will work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure priorities are understood, schedules are comprehensive and content is produced by deadlines. You will also actively work with the senior digital editor and editor of Art Quarterly to plan and commission editorial content to support Art Fund’s wider communications strategy.
