As a national charity, we tackle life's big challenges through the proven power of reading. We work closely with partners to develop and deliver programmes for people of all ages and backgrounds; our vision is for a world where everyone is reading their way to a better life.

This new role will focus on leading and delivering exciting new areas of work, including:

• Teachers' Reading Challenge - Launched in 2020 in partnership with the Open University to support teachers to grow their knowledge and understanding of children's books and build awareness of how to develop readers, foster a love of reading and make reading fun
• Get Islington Reading: a London-based programme funded by The Mercer's Company and delivered in partnership with The National Literacy Trust, aiming to inspire young people in the borough to develop and sustain a love of reading by connecting schools and public libraries, focusing on the critical transition between primary and secondary school.

You will be an excellent communicator with experience in working collaboratively to co-create projects.
