The role offers the opportunity to help coordinate Jewish Book Week, a prestigious annual literary festival, featuring writers, artists and thinkers from all over the world

The day-to-day work involves carrying out the tasks required to support the planning and production of a smooth-running festival, plus additional activities during the year.

The Administrator/Events Coordinator will play an essential role within a dynamic team, consisting of the Festival Director, Assistant Director and members of the Jewish Book Council. The team’s work involves collaboration with publishers, authors, artists, donors, partner organisations and venue staff, as well as members of the public.

  • The role would suit a highly organised individual, possessing both initiative and attention to detail, who is capable of remaining unflustered in a fast-paced, office environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is experience and confidence in using office software including Excel, Outlook and databases. 
  • Demonstrable experience of, and facility in, updating content on websites and using social media for marketing purposes will be an advantage. 
  • Some experience in managing events is desirable. 
  • An interest in books and Jewish culture is also desirable. 
  • Applicants will ideally be available to start work in September.

4/5 day-week negotiable

Salary: from £18,000 pro rata, depending on experience
