Faber Academy has announced the launch of its Open Book Scholarships, providing free manuscript assessment reports and mentorships to under-represented writers.
The first scholarship opens for applications on 12 August 2025 and will provide the opportunity for one writer, who could otherwise not afford an assessment, to receive a Full Report on their completed fiction manuscript.
The Open Book scholarships will join our rolling programme of scholarships already offering free places to under-represented writers on our online and in-person courses.
The scholarship is open to writers 18+, with a completed fiction manuscript of 30,000 to 100,000 words. We particularly welcome applications from writers from marginalised backgrounds, including global majority writers, writers from working class backgrounds, disabled writers, LGBTQ+ writers and other under-represented groups.
