The Corn Hall is an arts venue with a 300-seat theatre and two arts galleries based in Diss on the Norfolk and Suffolk border. The Corn Hall is currently closed due to COVID-19 so we are using this opportunity to review the current outreach provision and are looking for creative arts practitioners and facilitators (including creative writers) to join our freelance pool to support our education and learning opportunities.
We are keen to hear from people with the following experience:
A range of practical performing arts skills.
Experience of workshop planning and delivery.
Experience of working with people of all ages and abilities.
Experience of directing theatrical productions.
Experience working with community groups and people from a variety of backgrounds.
Self-motivated, well-organised and efficient.
Experience managing potentially complex participants and behaviours.
Arts Award Advisor trained from Discover and Explore to Gold.
Creative writing for both children and adults.
Puppet making workshops.
Film making.
We are unsure when we will be fully open again but we envisage this to commence in September 2020. All practitioners will be employed on a freelance basis and must have an up to date DBS check.
If you would like to be considered for work as a Creative Arts Practitioner with us, please submit a CV and a short covering letter outlining your area of interest and relevant experience to Lee Johnson, Operations Manager by email
operations@thecornhall.co.uk or in post to The Corn Hall, 10 St Nicholas Street, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 4LB. (references might also be required)
Deadline: 31st July 2020
