Freelance Creative Practitioner, Wisbech and Fenland Museum
Deadline: Mon 15 Mar 2021
Open call for creative practitioners to deliver workshops for EYFS and KS2 pupils as part of Wisbech Young Arts Open 2021. We welcome proposals from practitioners across all artforms who have experience of delivering engaging creative sessions for children and young people in school settings, either face-to-face or remotely.
Wisbech and Fenland Museum are offering three exciting freelance opportunities to develop and deliver standalone creative workshops to local pupils. The workshops will produce collections-inspired artwork for display as part of the Museum’s forthcoming Wisbech Young Arts Open exhibition (29 June to 28 August 2021). This work is part of the Museum’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project ‘Sharing Cultures: Exploring our Collections’.
Three workshop commissions are available: one working with EYFS pupils, and two working with pupils at Key Stage 2. Practitioners are welcome to submit briefs covering one or all the workshop commissions available but should evidence how each workshop offer is tailored to its intended audience. Proposals are welcome for remote or in-person delivery.
Workshops will be delivered in May and June 2021; dates to be mutually agreed on appointment.
The available fee is £750 per workshop commission, to include planning, preparation, and one day of delivery. An additional materials budget of £100 per commission is also available.
