Freelance Festival Manager(s), Oundle Festival of Literature
Deadline: Wed 14 Feb 2024
We are looking for either one or two freelance managers to organise and run inspiring author events. These are part-time roles, which would suit someone looking to develop their career and experience in events management. Local applicant(s) preferable but also open to candidates from the wider area.

The Festival presents about 10 author events per year in the historic market town of Oundle, North Northamptonshire, plus a week-long festival in March for children from local schools. These are two separate posts, though they could be combined for the right candidate.

Role 1: All-Year-Round Festival, annual fee £4k, paid quarterly, approx. 2 days per month, working from home for admin, in person for events.

Role 2: KidLit Week, annual fee £2k, paid quarterly, equivalent to approx. 1 day per month, but mostly seasonal (early March), working from home for admin, in person for events.

Both roles require excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a passion for bringing the joy of books and reading to others. Please visit our website for a flavour of past events.
