Freelance Scriptwriting Lecturer (Level 5/6), Futureworks

Futureworks provides University education and training in Sound, Music, Film, Television, Games, Animation and Visual Effects. Based in the centre of Manchester, our premises boast state of the art studios and high-spec production facilities built to industry standards.
As tutor on our successful BA (Hons) Independent Filmmaking programme, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery and assessment of a range of teaching materials and for making a clear contribution, via departmental discussions, to curriculum review and enhancement.
Skills / Experience Required includes:
Experience of working on commercial creative projects
Experience of teaching in a Higher Education environment
Educated to degree level or beyond
A thorough understanding of the film industry.
A strong working knowledge of industry-standard scriptwriting practices
The ability to demonstrate industry awareness and contribute to a thriving educational community through the development of industry-based projects
Modules: Scriptwriting 2 (Short Narrative) Scriptwriting 3 (Feature Narrative). Hours: 10 hours per week. Pay: £35 per hour (Freelance). Start Date: ASAP. Job Ref: FL230719
