Konflux Theatre in Education is a Yorkshire based Theatre Company and has been touring to schools throughout the United Kingdom with drama workshops and theatre productions for children and young people since 1997.

Due to the success of our projects, many schools regard us as an integral learning resource. We now work with in excess of 140,000 children and young people in schools every year to enrich and extend the National Curriculum, because we believe that young people learn best when they are learning creatively and having fun.

We are currently looking for Full and Part-Time Workshop Leaders rights across the UK to join our team on a freelance basis, delivering our Play in a Day and Creative Learning projects to Key Stage 1, 2 and 3.

The workshops involve Workshop Leaders working independently with a group of up to 35 children for an entire school day where the children will perform their work to the rest of the school. 

Essential Requirements

• Experience of working with children 
• Full driving license and Must have access to your own car
• Willing to stay away from home – The more flexible you are the more work we can give you.
• Willing to travel around the UK.
• Bags of enthusiasm

Desirable

• Knowledge of the education system would be an advantage.

 Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced CRB disclosure clearance

Fees:

The Director’s shall be paid a fixed fee of £80 for every working day producing Play in a Day (fee + contribution to travel expenses at 15p per mile).  The Facilitator is responsible for her/his own claiming of taxation and National Insurance contribution at the end of the Tax year.
