Southbank Centre is looking to appoint a Future Talent Manager who will recognise the potential for new learning and employment opportunities

Southbank Centre is looking to appoint a Future Talent Manager who will recognise the potential for new learning and employment opportunities in the lead up to the transformation of the Festival Wing, its opening, and beyond. The Future Talent Team has been created to contribute to Southbank Centre's thinking and response to social matters relating to employment. The priority for this team is to create a series of structured programmes that will enable a diverse spectrum of people to gain access to employment opportunities.

You will create and implement a strategy to establish a future talent pipeline for Southbank Centre and the sector as a whole. In collaboration with the HR Director and Learning & Participation team, you will consider key target areas such as youth unemployment, gender, disability, ethnicity and social inclusion. Your projects could range from running volunteer programmes for summer festivals, working with local schools to establish and run work experience placements, developing and coordinating apprenticeship opportunities, or working to implement diversity-led employment programmes.

With some experience in diversity and inclusion or employment programmes, you will be a highly organised, methodical worker who is excited by the prospect of starting up and delivering new initiatives. Your ability to lead and motivate will galvanize the people you work with to promote and encourage the success of the programmes you put together. Your collaborative approach will help you to gather support for your projects through the strong working relationships you build both inside and outside the organisation. An ability to handle logistics and plans is vital, along with an attitude that is determined to embrace the benefits of working in an often changing and challenging arts environment.
