Hollingworth Prize for Poetry 2018

Sine Wave Peak, in collaboration with Partus Press, is pleased to announce the inaugural Hollingworth Prize for Poetry, awarded for a chapbook-length manuscript of poems by a single poet. The competition is open to poets of any age, currently living in the UK, who have not previously published a full collection. Poets who have published pamphlets are eligible.
The winner will receive mentorship and critical feedback on their work from established poet Richard Scott, followed by co-publication by the presses Sine Wave Peak & Partus early 2019.
Richard Scott was born in London in 1981. His poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies including Poetry Review, Poetry London, Swimmers, The Poetry of Sex (Penguin) and Butt Magazine. He has been a winner of the Wasafiri New Writing Prize, a Jerwood/Arvon Poetry Mentee and a member of the Aldeburgh 8. His pamphlet Wound, published by Rialto, won the Michael Marks Poetry Award in 2016. His debut collection, Soho, was published by Faber in 2018.

Submissions should consist of a chapbook-length selection of original poems by a single author.
Please submit a minimum of 14 pages and a maximum of 28 pages of poetry. No collaborations or translations can be accepted.
