Late Fall Writers Retreat, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Canada
Deadline: Wed 21 Aug 2019
In this self-directed late fall residency (dates 2 - 14 December 2019) spend two weeks in the majestic Rocky Mountains deeply focused on your project while engaging with a community of writing peers.
The Late Fall Writers Retreat is a self-directed program that offers time and space for writers to retreat, reconnect, and re-energize their writing practice. You will have the opportunity to attend inspiring talks and performances and meet with guest faculty to consult on your work.
Delve deep into your creative project and take advantage of the artistic community of your peers around you. The program provides opportunities for consultations with guest mentors, and optional group sessions led by guest mentors that allow writers to explore literary tools, aspects, and devices that you may find useful in your practice.
You may also sign up for additional walks and day trips within Banff National Park.
Writers in all creative genres are invited to apply. The program is designed for emerging and established writers with a proven publication record seeking a period of dedicated time to work on a project in any genre.
