Lecturer in Creative Writing (0.5 FTE), York St John University
Deadline: Thu 19 May 2022
York St John is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there has never been a more exciting time to join us. We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in the Creative Industries for 0.5 of a full-time appointment.

We welcome applications for the post of Lecturer in Creative Writing and the Creative Industries to join the well-established and thriving team in the York Centre for Writing, which sits within the Creative Writing Programme, in the School of Humanities at York St John University.

Experience of teaching and working within the field of publishing is essential – the successful applicant will be teaching primarily on our postgraduate MA in Publishing, although there may sometimes be a need to support our undergraduate provision too.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate ongoing commitment to practice and research. A PhD in Creative Writing, Literature or a related field is desirable, but applicants with industry experience and academic teaching experience in publishing will be prioritised. We value applicants who can work collegiately as part of our very cohesive team.
