We are seeking to appoint a 0.5fte Lecturer in Creative Writing. You will contribute to undergraduate modules, take part in final year undergraduate portfolio supervision and take on administrative and pastoral responsibilities. You will undertake MA teaching and other postgraduate supervision and contribute to the research activities of the Leicester Centre for Creative Writing.
You should be a published creative writer with teaching experience who can contribute to the development and teaching of our lively and innovative creative writing programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will be interested in a range of forms and genres, sympathetic to experimentation and able to help students acquire a range of craft and practical skills. Knowledge and experience of the contemporary writing industry and/or digital writing would be an advantage.

The School of Humanities sits within the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities and comprises Creative Writing, English Language and Literature, Modern Languages and History. The school is home to 700 students at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Creative Writing at De Montfort University was ranked 13th in the UK in the 2019 Complete University Guide.
