The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Writing (Theatre Script).
You will have a completed PhD in a relevant subject area and/or a track record in the production and/or publication of significant, rigorous and original creative writing (theatre script), as well as proven experience in teaching creative writing (theatre script) to undergraduate students.
You will be expected to lead and teach both lectures and seminars on the module, Drama, Theatre and Performance (UG Stage 1 module, Spring Semester); to second mark/moderate theatre script work on UG and PGT modules, and to contribute a session to the PGT Profession of Writing module. You will also be expected to supervise taught postgraduate independent work, and to lead Play Club, a cross-cohort initiative involving theatre trips and facilitated discussion activities.
This is a fixed-term, part-time post - 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE -Teaching and Scholarship), for a duration of 9 months to cover maternity leave.
The start date is 1st January 2022 until 30 September 2022.
