The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Writing (Prose) 0.5 FTE (Teaching and Scholarship).

This is a fixed-term appointment for 30 months: the start date is 1 January 2024 and the end date is 30 June 2026.
You will have a PhD in a relevant subject area and/ or a track record of publication of significant, rigorous and original creative writing, as well as proven experience in teaching creative writing (prose) to undergraduate students; experience of working with taught postgraduate students is desirable.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead/contribute to the module Prose Workshop (UG Stage 2 module) and contribute as needed across the Creative Writing curriculum at UG and PGT levels, including the first year Introduction to Creative Writing module. They will also be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate independent work.
