The School of Arts, English and Languages (AEL) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer in Creative Writing (Prose).
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of publication in creative prose, and ideally will have experience in a range of modes (the short story, the novel, creative non-fiction, etc).
The candidate will contribute to teaching on the English with Creative Writing pathway and the MA in Creative Writing and will be an active member of the Seamus Heaney Centre, participating in the Centre’s broad range of public engagement activities. A familiarity with, and willingness to teach, a variety of prose genres is welcome.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
Have or be about to obtain a relevant PhD or an equivalent record of professionally published work
A track record of publication in creative prose
Experience of teaching or workshopping creative writing.
