Lecturer in Creative Writing: Stage and Screen, University of Liverpool

You will contribute extensively to the teaching of our existing undergraduate and postgraduate provision, and to the development of new modules and programmes.

The successful candidate will be a creative writer with a developing national/ international reputation in writing for stage and/or screen who has demonstrated excellence in teaching the broad area of Creative Writing/ English/ Drama, via a range of methods (including online/ blended), across genres, and to undergraduate and postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds.

The post is closely linked to the increasing creative writing and drama provision across the Department, including an English Literature with Drama Studies programme currently in development. Applicants who can contribute to a diverse and inclusive programme are particularly encouraged.

You should hold a PhD or MFA in Creative Writing, English, Drama or a related field AND/OR relevant professional experience and a strong publication/production record.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the high-quality research profile of the Department, to the study of Creative Writing/ English/ Drama nationally and internationally, and to the disciplines’ wider relevance beyond the academy. 

Salary: £34,805 to £52,560 per annum (Grade 7 to 8) Hours: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent (Job Ref: 033608)
