Lecturer in Creative Writing, University of Kent

Are you an experienced teacher at undergraduate degree level with demonstrable expertise in creative writing? Are you interested in collaborative teaching and interdisciplinary approaches to this field?

This part-time, fixed term lectureship in creative writing (teaching & research) offers an exciting opportunity for an academic with an emerging record of international excellence in practice and publication commensurate with career stage, and experience in teaching at university level.

In this role, you will contribute to the school’s undergraduate curriculum by teaching seminar groups and acting as a module convenor. You will also teach MA modules and provide supervision for MA dissertations as required.

If you have expertise in fiction and one (or more) of the following areas, we would welcome your application: narrative non-fiction; video gaming; screenwriting/writing for performance; experience in cultural industries.

Salary: £34,804 to £48,114 per annum pro rata Job reference: HUM-110-20
