Lecturer in Creative Writing (Writing for Children and Young Adults) (Education & Research), University of Exeter

At the outset (the first six months) of this post, the main task for the new appointment will be to lead a team in the devising and implementation of our new online-only MA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, which is already underway.
Together with a digital developer and current members of the creative writing staff, you will be responsible for the design of the MA, its modules and structure. You will devise and implement the content of the modules so as to offer the most exciting and instructive online student experience. The launch of this MA is scheduled for September 2022.
After this initial period of focus on one task, we’re looking for a regular full-time member of the creative writing team:
fulfilling the role of Programme Director for the online-only MA Writing for Children and more.
You will have:
A PhD (or equivalent record of publishing) in Creative Writing (Writing for Children and Young Adults).
A strong record in attracting funding for research, or demonstrate potential to attract such funding.
An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research.
Enthusiasm for delivering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Experience in and strong interest in the development and delivery of online teaching programmes.
Strong connections and funded projects with business and community partners.
Involvement in projects which develop impact.
