Lecturer in Creative Writing,University of Brighton

Creative Writing at the University of Brighton is a dynamic area of growth with three popular undergraduate degrees and an innovative MA course that has a focus on diverse practice and social engagement.

We are looking for an experienced lecturer and writer who will challenge and inspire our students in a range of styles and genres and help them to develop as motivated, ethical and socially responsible creative thinkers and makers.

As well as particular expertise in at least one of the following: prose, publishing, postcolonial writing, life writing, writing for web & digital media, and the creative industries and evidence of high quality research publications and/or significant profile as a published creative writer, you will need:
• Demonstrable ability to achieve a high research standard and potential to build impact
• Experience in teaching undergraduate courses in required area(s)
• Some experience in curriculum development, such as developing modules, decolonising the curriculum and a variety of assessment practices
• Experience of supervising undergraduate dissertation projects
