Lecturer in Film and Creative Writing (Teaching Focused), University of Birmingham

The University of Birmingham wishes to appoint an education-focused Lecturer in Film and Creative Writing. The post holder will have expertise in the intersections between film and creative writing, in the space created by adaptation, film studies and the creation of original writing.

We seek an early career academic with a completed and successfully examined PhD, or close to completion, and a strong teaching record who will contribute to the teaching management and development activities in the Department of Film and Creative Writing.

The successful candidate will be expected to advance the practice of teaching within the department and take a role in leading curriculum development whilst also taking an important role in student academic support.

Full time starting salary is normally in the range £41,526 to £49,553 Fixed Term Contract from 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2024  (Job Ref 97352)
