The increasing significance of the ‘North’ in the Creative Industries, in particular, Yorkshire and the Humber, is more visible than ever, with Channel 4 locating its National HQ in Leeds and the development of a strong and fast-growing production sector in cities across the North of England. 

In this buoyant time for film and screen production, we are seeking one/two appointments; a full time Lecturer with specialist knowledge in Screenwriting to teach on flagship courses, BA (Hons) Filmmaking and MA Screenwriting: Feature Film and Continuing Series. We would also consider two fractional Lecturers in Screenwriting who would like to share the post.

You will have a track record of industry experience together with relevant experience in film education, demonstrating knowledge and expertise in the practice of Screenwriting, together with an informed knowledge of the film process. You will be fluent with established and current industry trends. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage and inspire students is essential, together with a flexible and collaborative approach to working within a teaching team.
