University of Lincoln's School of Film and Media seeks an experienced screenwriting lecturer with broadcast television or film production experience.
You will have participated in broadcast television or film production and will be ambitious to maintain such professional involvement with industry and other external partners alongside your teaching over a range of modules within established programmes. Your job will be to help ensure LSFM continues to be internationally and nationally renowned for our film production activity by staff and students.
Your appointment will align with our strong reputation for the integrated nature of our courses, our relationship with the media, creative and cultural industries, and the strength of our research and professional practice. As well as teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate media programmes, you will be ready to play as full a part as possible in working with colleagues on curriculum development and the advancement of relevant discipline areas within the university. In accordance with our student-centred approach you will undertake personal tutoring and support. You will already have a teaching qualification/accreditation (HE PGCE or HEA fellowship) or commitment to achieving one during the probation period.
Specifically, the teaching element of the role is for you to lead skills workshops in screenwriting and one or more of the following areas: cinematography; directing; editing. Experience of TV studio production is also desirable.
