This is an opportunity to join an outstanding department that has played a pioneering role in the development of Creative Writing as a university discipline in the UK, focusing especially on the supervision of PhD candidates, supporting the PhD cohort more widely, and contributing to our MA teaching.
You will have a reputation as a published author, with wide-ranging interests in novel writing: current trends, developments, and approaches. You will also have experience of supporting others in the creation of their own work, ideally in higher education, and a commitment to excellent practice in learning and teaching.
You must have a PhD in Creative Writing or a related field, and a demonstrable interest in the value of this form of research, in support of both the development of new creative work and the critical reflection on it.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain further, high level experience in this area, ably supported by members of the existing Creative Writing team.
The post is temporary and provides cover for AHRC-funded research leave for a senior member of the department. The successful candidate is expected to take up the post in February 2023.
