The University of Bolton is seeking to appoint talented early academic career teaching and research professionals and practitioners

The University is seeking to appoint talented early academic career teaching and research professionals and practitioners to deliver and contribute to the development of programmes related to Computing and Creative Writing areas. As a Lecturer you will be part of a high-performing team of new breed academics committed to the delivery of quality programmes at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level with a specific focus on achieving excellence in the student learning experience. As part of a lean, highly productive, and performance-oriented academic organisation, your duties will include course delivery, contribution to programme/course and module developments. You will also play a key role in student engagement and satisfaction while providing academic and personal support to the students at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

In this context, the University is preparing for the future by seeking to make a number of key Lecturer academic appointments in the following disciplines:

Applications for all areas of Creative Writing will be considered, but expertise in Prose Fiction, Poetry, Dramatic Writing, New Media Writing and Creative Writing Industry will be an advantage.

Applicants must hold a first degree and ideally a PhD in a relevant discipline (or within the final year of submission). A teaching qualification or membership of the Higher Education Academy (or willingness to achieve this) is a requirement. A crucial aspect for the role-holder will be the ability to contribute to the research/enterprise activities of the University and produce high impact publications.
