Lectureships in English Literature and Creative Writing - Teaching and Research, Cardiff University
Deadline: Sun 18 Feb 2024
The School of English, Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University is seeking to appoint four new colleagues in English Literature and two new colleagues in Creative Writing, all on the Teaching & Research pathway.

The four English Literature posts are in medieval literature, literature of the Romantic period, literatures of the Black Atlantic, and film studies. The two Creative Writing posts are open to specialists in any area of Creative Writing, but preference may be given to candidates with expertise in scriptwriting, literary translation, genre fiction, or creative non-fiction. Across all six posts, we are especially interested in candidates with expertise in race, queer/trans studies, literature and the environment, and/or Welsh writing in English.

Candidates should have established expertise and a proven portfolio of research relevant to one of the above fields, a proven ability to publish research outputs such as papers in academic journals of at least national standing, and the enthusiasm and drive to contribute to our?reputation for high quality and impactful research.

The successful candidates will teach across our increasingly popular suite of undergraduate and postgraduate?programmes, employing and building upon our engaging and innovative approaches to classroom practice and assessment.
