Make it Write Short Play Competition 2020: Call for entries
Deadline: Sat 11 Jan 2020
Make it Write Productions CIC is committed to promoting the work of new playwrights in the North West of England. Each year we run a 30 minute play competition and the prize is to have your play performed in The Hope Street Theatre as part of the Liverpool Fringe Festival in June. This year we have teamed up with Ticket to Write who specialise in Beatles themed drama.

We would therefore like to see your unproduced 30 minute plays with a Beatles theme, be it something inspired from a song or a mad psychodelic journey.

There are two categories this year:
1) Writers from North West England ( at least 2 winners)
2) Writers from other parts both nationally and internationally

There will be four winners.

Our Judges are Helen Jones who co-wrote the book Julia’s Banjo, researcher and script editor for the play, Two pence to cross the Mersey and writer of the play The Barn Swallows. Also James Gaskin who ran the original Ticket to Write competition for five years and has written stand up and several short plays that have been performed in Liverpool.

For competition rules and submission details, go to the Make it Write competitions page

The closing date is 11th January 2020 at midnight.
