Hampshire Cultural Trust is seeking highly-skilled freelance artists to deliver dynamic, creative workshops for the ICE Heritage Project 2022-23, a collaboration between Hampshire Cultural Trust and Hampshire CAMHS for young people aged 11 – 18 who are known to CAMHS: currently on their waiting list, receiving treatment or recently discharged.
The project takes place in Aldershot, Andover and Fareham in our Community Museums.
Delivering the programme:
You must have experience as a wellbeing and/or mental health practitioner. Or, be ready to take up training to work in this setting.
You must be an expert in your art form.
You must have professional experience of delivering arts led workshops with young people or vulnerable groups.
You must have innovative ideas of how to include local heritage and environmental issues in your practice in ways that are engaging and accessible to young people.
Timeline: We are recruiting artists for Cohort 2 (Autumn Term 22/23) & Cohort 3 (Spring Term 22/23) to deliver 10 weeks of CREATE workshops each term. The Exchange phase will begin with a showcase of the work and a calebration of the young people, no earlier than three weeks after the final CREATE workshop.
Fee: 10 x2 hour CREATE workshops (£150 half day rate per session) @ £1500 / CREATE Materials @ £500 Total available is £2000 (inclusive of VAT)
EXCHANGE– Co-Created celebration/event/exhibition outcome includes an additional budget of £500 - £1000 for materials, planning and preparation.
