Neon Literary Magazine: Call for submissions
Deadline: Wed 31 Jul 2019
Neon Literary Magazine is one of the longest-running independent literary magazines in the UK. It's currently open to submissions of poetry, prose and photography.

Neon makes an appearance twice each year in print and a range of digital formats. Each edition features a blend of surreal and speculative fiction, poetry, art and photography. Neon sits on the edge of horror and science-fiction, but with strong literary leanings.

We prefer darker pieces, especially those with an element of the surreal or speculative, but are open to reading anything and like to be surprised. Images, comics and graphic poems are also welcome, as are self-contained extracts.

There is no set word limit, but if sending short pieces (poems, flash fiction) we’d prefer to see several at once rather than just one.

Accepted writers receive a small royalty payment and a copy of the issue in which their work appears.

Please visit our website for guidelines.

The deadline is Wednesday 31 July 2019 at 23:55.
