Northern Gravy: Call for submissions for first edition

New literary periodical Northern Gravy are looking for the best in new writing in either Fiction, Young Adult or Poetry. Submissions are invited from UK writers of any background, including first-time writers.
We welcome work from members of groups or communities typically under-represented within literature.
Successful entrants will have their work published online in the first curated literary periodical in early July 2021.
Every submission we select for publication we will pay a fee of £100 as well as offering editorial services and valuable feedback. Writers selected will also be invited to read their work for broadcast on Youtube, The Northern Gravy website, podcast and potential future festival appearances.
Our guideline word count for Fiction and Young Adult is a maximum of 2000 words. Poems no more than 40 lines. We are happy to read: one story or up to four poems. Please only submit in one category per submissions period.
