Northern Writers' Awards: The NorthBound Book Award
Deadline: Tue 12 Sep 2023
This award, supported by the University of York and in partnership with Saraband, is open to writers based in the North of England who have a full-length fiction or narrative non-fiction manuscript.
Applicants can be at any career stage; new writers, emerging writers and established writers are all encouraged to enter. One winner will receive an advance against royalties of £5000, publication with Saraband, and access to the Northern Writers' Awards network. Open for entries until 12 September 2023.

The Prototype Development Programme will open from 13 September - 23 October 2023, offering six months of development with Prototype Publishing to 3 emerging writers.
The Hachette Children's Novel Awards 2024 will open 26 October 2023 - 8 January 2024. These awards are open to debut writers of middle-grade children's and early teen fiction.
And the flagship Northern Writers' Awards 2024 will open from 23 November 2023 - 12 February 2024, with awards for poetry, fiction, narrative non-fiction, young people, and more.
