City St George's University's prestigious Novel Studio programme is now accepting applications for 2026. Free taster session on 18 June. Deadline for applications extended to 30 June 2026.
This acclaimed year-long novel writing course will be offered in two formats: the current online option AND a London on-campus experience featuring the same exceptional content and teaching team.
With an impressive track record of alumni securing agent representation and publishing deals (including recent successes with Canongate, Constable, and Oneworld), the Novel Studio provides expert guidance, constructive feedback, and invaluable industry connections.

We are running a free taster session for anyone not yet decided. On Thursday 18th June 2026, 12.30–1.30pm BST, Dr Rebekah Lattin-Rawstrone will lead a mini session on reading like a writer and Dr Kiare Ladner will explore the art of endings. There'll also be a programme overview and plenty of time for your questions. Places are free but limited. Register here.

The next ten people to apply will receive a free ticket to our end-of-year showcase — online or in person — where the current crop of brilliant Novel Studio students will share their work with an audience of invited industry guests. It's a wonderful evening, and a real taste of what the community is all about.
