Open Call: Poet in Residence, StAnza
Deadline: Fri 26 Jan 2024
StAnza – Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, in partnership with the Edwin Morgan Trust, is holding an open-call for two poets-in-residence to join us for our 2024 festival.

Following a successful pilot scheme in 2023, these paid residencies aim to support and promote marginalised voices in poetry.

Two positions are available:

The Collaboration Award – open to poets who are Scottish by birth or current residence, who will work collaboratively with a visual artist-in-residence (to be selected in partnership with Fife Contemporary);

The Translation Award – open to poets who write in a language other than English (including Gaelic & Scots), from any country.

Applicants are invited to send in proposals for new work which engages with the 2024 festival theme – Warp and Weft: a tapestry of poetry.

Find out more here.

Deadline for applications is Friday 26 January 2024 at 5.30pm.
