You might not consider yourself ‘a poet’, but by sharing your words with us you could find yourself performing your poem in front of a panel of judges and a live audience, with the chance of winning a publishing contract with the UK’s largest publisher of new poetry! Our over 18s category winner – has the choice of a publishing contract or a £1,000 prize. The two runners up will receive a cash prize. The under 18s category will be split into two age groups and a winner from each group will be awarded with a top of the range laptop.

We are inviting entries on any subject and in any style from poets of all ages and all walks of life. Whether you want to dedicate your heartfelt poem to a loved one; walk down memory lane; bring out the lighter side of life in humorous verse or have just written what you’re thinking and feeling, we want to read it!

The top 100 poets (50 x under 18s and 50 x over 18s) will be invited to our live Poetry Slam to perform their piece in front of a panel of judges and a live audience! The winners from each age group will walk away with the prizes.
