Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Writing, Institute of Continuing Education, University of Cambridge

Calling writers who teach, teachers who write, and those interested in applying creative writing (or its theory) within their professional field! This course was due to run from April 2020 but due to the COVID-19 situation, the start date has been postponed until October 2020 and a limited number of additional places are now available. Deadline for applications extended to 31 July.

The course will enable students to:
develop their skills as a teacher of creative writing and strategies for their intended teaching contexts;
develop and/or extend their knowledge of the theories and practices of the teaching of creative writing;
develop their repertoire of teaching, course design and assessment methods appropriate to creative writing in their context;

The programme comprises three modules: The Philosophy and Context of Teaching Creative Writing, Designing a Creative Writing and Assessment and Feedback in a Creative Writing Course
