Professor of Creative Writing (Director of the Warwick Writing Programme), University of Warwick
The University of Warwick seeks to appoint a full-time Professor in Creative Writing with effect from September 2020. The successful candidate will also serve as Director of the Warwick Writing Programme in the first instance.
You will have a distinguished publication record in fiction and/or non-fiction, a strong record of directing, designing, and developing a leading writing programme in the UK or Ireland,and extensive experience of teaching creative writing at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
You will have an appetite for innovation, and a strong commitment to working across the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures to establish new courses and initiatives, in line with our commitment to diversity, equality, creative employability, literary networking, digital entrepreneurship and regional collaborations.
The School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures was established in August 2019 within the Faculty of Arts. It currently comprises the Warwick Writing Programme, Theatre and Performance Studies, and Cultural and Media Policy Studies; from August 2020 we shall be joined by History of Art.
