Project Manager, Our Stories Festival, Bradford, National Literacy Trust
Deadline: Wed 1 May 2019
Do you have experience of festival event production? Could you bring passion and drive to deliver events that will engage and celebrate the many communities of Bradford, and impact on the literacy skills of the city’s young people?

We are recruiting a Project Manager to lead our work on the Our Stories Festival in Bradford. The events will use the arts and creative exhibitions to celebrate stories from the wide range of cultures and communities in Bradford. The public and in-school exhibitions will help raise literacy levels by stimulating talk, writing and reading.

This role will be based in our community programmes team, and be responsible for all aspects of the delivery and promotion of the festival events and associated work in schools.

You will need to have experience in festival event production on a similar scale, including managing negotiations with artists, technical producers, partners and suppliers. Experience managing project budgets to target and planning and delivering communications activity are also a must. Experience of working with culture or heritage sector organisations, and with professional writers, would be an advantage.
