Project Manager - Volunteering Herefordshire, Ledbury Poetry

Ledbury Poetry is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to launch, develop, manage and evaluate its two-year Volunteering Herefordshire project.

The goal of Volunteering Herefordshire is to offer meaningful voluntary opportunities and work placements, alongside a programme of training, support and mentoring with a particular focus on recruiting and developing volunteering with young people up to the age of 30. Enabling arts, cultural and heritage organisations to develop their volunteering offer, focused on innovative digital, hybrid and micro volunteering opportunities.

The successful applicant will have:
Excellent administrative, communication and IT/digital skills
The ability to manage and support both paid and voluntary colleagues
Strong partnership and networking skills
The ability to innovate and self-motivate to achieve the aims of the project.

The role will include:
Actively promoting the project to enable effective recruitment of new volunteers, especially among young people and to ensure a diverse range of participants
Devising relevant training and support
Effectively evaluating and reporting at all stages of the project to ensure that aims of the project are being met
The capacity to make changes or revise approach to improve the quality of the work delivered.

Ledbury Poetry is an organisation based in Ledbury, Herefordshire that organises a ten-day Poetry Festival in July, and year round projects and activities including prizes and competitions, schools and community programmes, youth focused activity, writer development programmes and much more. Without volunteers, Ledbury Poetry could not exist, so the organisation fully appreciates the immense value of volunteers and the amazing rewards volunteering can bring.
