Award-winning publisher 404 Ink are looking to hire a part-time freelance Project Officer to play a vital role in its development. The successful candidate would be expected to work remotely, but also in the 404 Ink office in central Edinburgh weekly or fortnightly.
The Project Officer will take the lead in shaping future projects within the company and be assertive and confident in bringing forward new propositions on where to take 404 Ink.
Projects for the successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Taking creative control of 404 Ink’s bi-annual literary magazine. The chosen candidate will be key in generating ideas of how to revamp and revitalise the magazine for its second phase.
Patreon. The chosen candidate will work with the directors to form a cohesive plan for Patreon and implement this going forward.
The opportunity to pitch new projects for the company in line with our plans and titles for 2019-2020 and beyond.
As a small publishing team, all staff members are also expected to contribute across the board in terms of editorial, sales, events and marketing where required.

All roles at 404 Ink are paid the living wage, £8.75 an hour. The successful candidate will work for two days per week (16 hours) from January 2019 until September 2019, with the potential to be extended.
