As a Relationship Manager for the Arts Council, you will also be expected to engage with a broad range of non-literature specific issues, including children and young people, diversity and equality, touring and sustainability, and to be a confident communicator with a range of constituencies.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and experience of contemporary literature and London's literary scene.

The Arts Council funds a broad range of literature projects including (among others) poetry, literary fiction, literary magazines, publishing projects, children's literature initiatives, reader development, spoken word, and literature in translation, so a detailed knowledge of one or more of these areas will be desirable.

You would contribute to the development and delivery of Arts Council's strategy for the arts, working with Literature colleagues nationally, including providing vital support to organisations and writers in the context of a difficult financial climate. Additionally, you would support the assessment of applications to our Project Grants programme.

Salary: £34,129 per annum (£17,064 pro rata based on working 17.5 hours/2.5 days per week) plus excellent benefits. Contract: Permanent job share, working 2.5 days/17.5 hours per week (Ref No. LLF37-1)
