Do you want to help us transform lives through reading and writing? We seek a Co-ordinator to research the impact of the Bookbug RWC book gifting programmes, and to support Early Years evaluation.

Bookbug and Read, Write, Count are book gifting programmes funded by Scottish Government and delivered by Scottish Book Trust. Bookbug gives every child in Scotland four free bags of books as babies, toddlers, three and five year olds; Read, Write, Count continues with a further two book bags for all children in P2 and in P3 each year.

This role will manage a new piece of research exploring the impact of the Bookbug and Read, Write, Count book gifting programmes since Bookbug's inception 11 years ago. The role will also work with the Early Years team to plan, design and implement robust evaluation across their wider activities.

Location: Edinburgh (currently working from home due to Covid 19)

The post will involve working with children, therefore appointment to the post will be conditional upon securing a satisfactory PVG check.

Contract: Fixed Term for 9–12 months Hours: full or part time. Minimum 21 hours per week, open to negotiation. Salary: Grade 3 (£21,500–£25,999)
