Ruth Rendell Short Story Competition 2025

InterAct Stroke Support seeks short stories (no more than 1000 words) in any genre that are positive stories that can be read in the sensitive environment of a hospital setting. Open to anyone, including non-UK applicants, over 16 years.
The winner will receive £1000 and be commissioned to write four further short stories for InterAct Stroke Support over the course of one year.
The top three stories are shortlisted and performed by professional actors that work for InterAct.
