Scottish Arts Trust: Edinburgh Award for Flash Fiction 2027

The Edinburgh Flash Fiction Award is open to all writers worldwide, published and unpublished, who are over 16 years by 1 September 2026. Entries (max 250 words) can be on any theme or subject but must be for adult readers and written in English.
Prizes
FIRST PRIZE: £2,000 and one year free membership of the Scottish Arts Club
SECOND PRIZE: £500
THIRD PRIZE: £250
THE GOLDEN HARE AWARD: £500 and one year free membership of the Scottish Arts Club
WRITE MANGO AWARD: £300
Three Commendations awarded £100 each
All prize winners and commended stories will be published in the Edinburgh Anthology. Publication is optional for authors of other stories in the top fifteen. (Authors retain copyright and may agree to re-publication of their story after it has appeared in the Edinburgh Anthology published each year in November.)
Entry Fee: The entry fee is £10 per story. (Bursaries available)
