The script will investigate some of the cultural and religious tensions arising in today’s social and political climate, charting an important time in adolescent life when identity is carved and existence questioned. The play will ask young people and audiences to consider some big questions: How do I and others around me view the world? What is my identity? What is my purpose? How should I live my life?

The project has been commissioned by the Lincoln Diocesan Board of Education and will be jointly delivered with two Lincolnshire-based arts organisations: Shooting Fish Theatre Company and cultural solutions UK.

The project seeks to develop a social inclusion programme through a series of plays delivered in collaboration with schools/communities in the Grantham and Skegness areas. 

We are seeking a freelance writer to join our team of artists to support the development and writing of a 45-minute original play script which will be produced by a professional team. 

Research, development and writing will need to be completed within a 7-week timescale by the 31st of March 2019.
