This is a one-off opportunity to lead Collections in Verse, a new collaborative programme between Poet in the City and the British Library.
In this new job, you will create, produce and lead poetry shows and commissions inspired by British Library exhibitions in libraries and community spaces across the country. Based at Poet in the City with regular working at the British Library, this is a unique opportunity to work with two leading literature organisations of very different sizes; you will benefit from a small creative producing organisation and the resources of a national library.
You will be a confident all-rounder and self-starter, who is equally at home creating dazzling poetry events, supporting artists and delivering participatory programming, as working as a fundraiser, evaluator and project manager. You must be happy to work independently and take initiative, as you’ll be travelling around the UK to work with our partners and bring this exciting programme to life.
This project will change how both organisations work, and so we and our partners at the British Library are very excited about this new job – we’re really looking forward to welcoming someone new to the team.
